As you may know, persons served and others have voiced deep concerns regarding the changes that the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is proposing to meet federal Conflict Free Access and Planning requirements.

On behalf of the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan, LifeWays wants to provide you with background on this issue and invite you to register for and voice your views about the MDHHS proposed system restructuring.

It was a momentous event where we came together as a community to recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements within the mental health landscape. This year's celebration was particularly special, as it marked a significant milestone for us – a long-awaited reunion after years of navigating the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

Under the theme of COMMUNITY and collective impact, the Annual Celebration served as a beacon of hope and inspiration. From mental health professionals to individuals with lived experiences, our event brought together a diverse audience of professionals, advocates, and COMMUNITY members committed to the cause of mental health awareness.

New 24/7 Crisis Services is an Alternative to the Hospital for Mental Health Needs in Jackson and Hillsdale

LifeWays is pleased to announce a new partnership with Genoa Healthcare to provide onsite Consumer Medication Coordinators (CMCs) at LifeWays!

There will be one CMC available onsite in both the Jackson and Hillsdale offices to help consumers by reminding them to get lab work completed and coordinating medication related tasks or questions.

A groundbreaking on January 17 celebrated the beginning of a multistage, yearlong renovation to expand integrated healthcare services and 24/7 crisis services at LifeWays Community Mental Health. This renovation was paid for by Jackson County bond.

In preparation for the 2020 Census, the state of Michigan has launched a new website to provide information and resources to Michiganders.

Live as of Tuesday, Jan. 14, the website will be available throughout the census-taking season so residents can have their questions answered, keep up to date on the latest census news and obtain a better understanding about the importance of the census. The website includes a list of frequently asked questions and an interactive map of hard to reach areas, among other things.
